During the promotion of a film, having the film featuring within film magazines such as Empire or Total Film gives the film an additional opportunity for marketing. magazines may review or promote a multitude of films within one copy of a magazine, possibly boosting the excitement of the film within the magazines audience. Although trailers show the audience elements of the films, reviews within printed media such as magazines give the audience the opinion of how other audience members perceived the film.
These images are of a series of double page spreads featured within
Total Film and a
Deadpool feature within the magazine. The use of the different images show the audience a representation of the different moments within the film, some of which evoking emotion.

Image 1 is the first page of the magazines Deadpool feature. the headline states "Holding out for an antihero" giving a twist to a well known lyric. All text on this page is positioned on top of an action-packed image from the film, with the main protagonist positioned entirely on one page without any other characters, showing the importance of this character.
The second image begins to show the audience the other characters within the film. Other areas of text such as drop quotes and sub headings are featured in a red font on a black background. This colour scheme fits in with the general colour scheme of the film itself. Within the images on this double page the audience can see the different relationships the protagonist has with the other characters within the film as a team or in a romantic relationship.
